We were very saddened to learn that one of Joshua's friends earned his angel wings yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers are with Emanuel's family.
It is always a blow when we lose one of our children to the evil of cancer.
It must stop.
We must find a way to end the suffering of these precious children.
We must find a cure.
Joshua had an okay day. He was still pretty unfocused from the chemo yesterday and had a hard time sticking with his teacher this afternoon. We all took him to see Leanne this afternoon and then made it back home before the traffic got totally out of control. This evening we had to tell him that his friend had gone to heaven and he took it stoically. I can only imagine what weights he bears in his little heart. Emanuel was one of his friends and he will miss him. Joshua has seen way too much sadness for someone so young.
The remainder of our evening was quiet with a bite to eat and a chance to sit together and enjoy a hockey game.
Enjoy every moment... Hug someone you love every chance you get.

I am saddened about Emanuel. My heart aches for his family and those who knew and loved him. I pray they all find the comfort and strength they need as they grieve.
I worry about the weights placed upon your tiny shoulders and heart.
Hang in Mighty Warrior. Kick cancer's butt completely out of your universe. You are my Champion.
