IVIG yet again… Day 819 11FEB11

Joshua got up early to get the emla on his port so he could get accessed as soon as Carline showed up. His port decided not to put a fight this morning and he got started on his IVIG transfusion pretty quickly. He did just fine and finished up a little after 2 in the afternoon. Not long after Caroline left he got a call from Taylor who was over at Pa's house wondering if he could come over and play, so Renee drove him over for the afternoon. I managed to make it home after a rather crazy jaunt through the rush hour traffic and Jarrod had everything ready for me to throw some pork steaks on the grill for dinner. It has turned off a bit cold again and we bundled up a bit to go out on the deck while they cooked. We had a nice dinner and then settled in for the evening. Joshua got dropped off a bit after 8 and although he looked a little tired to me he had a fun time playing with his cousins. We spent the balance of our evening watching a new episode of Top Gear and starting in on a new book. Our weekend calendar is wide open and I know that I for one am looking to getting a little rest in.
