Our little hockey player!

After waiting for three and a half long years Joshua is finally on his first hockey team! They had their inaugural game today with Joshua taking his first shift on the ice. He did really well and played hard along with the rest of his teammates. This is the realization of a dream Joshua has had since he got diagnosed way back in 2008 and after a long fight and a lot of patience and practice he has arrived. We are so very proud of our little hockey player!

I know it has been a while since I posted anything so it is only fair to give you all an update on what has been going on in our part of the world. Joshua recovered wonderfully from his port removal surgery and only has a small scar to show for it. We finally had to move out of our house and are now renting a house not very far from where we lived before, we are still unpacking and trying to figure out where everything goes :) We were incredibly lucky to have managed to hang on to our house the entire time Joshua was in treatment but our time has run out. So we are beginning a new adventure as a family and are looking forward to growing stronger this year as we move forward. Everyone is healthy and the boys are doing great in school and already looking forward to summer vacation.

I will leave you with a short clip of Joshua handling the puck for the first time as a member of a hockey team :)
