Carnivores rule… Day 466 22FEB10

Joshua started the morning with clinic for a CBC. His counts are over 3000 because of the steroids round and everything else looked normal. So a good clinic visit.

Afterwards he and Renee met us and the rest of the Gandy clan for lunch. Grandma and Grandpa Gandy had planned the event and made all the arrangements.

We got to be raging carnivores with an unquenchable appetite for meat for several hours.

Let me explain, we met at a restaurant called Boizao which is a Brazilian steakhouse. The basic idea is they bring meat to the table, on swords no less. Lots of juicy succulent delectable meat and you keep eating until you either explode or common sense just kicks in. Did I mention all the yummy meat? They have steak and sirloin and fillet and lamb and pork chops and chicken and sausages and… mountains of morsels of meat! Flame broiled to beyond perfection in a never ending deluge. The word delicious seems to fail utterly in describing the epicurean feast we enjoyed. The reason for our gigantic gorging meat party you ask? My mother wanted to do something special to celebrate the twin's birthday. I am pretty sure Joshua ate close to half his body weight and the rest of us... well lets just say that I don' think any of us will get on a scale for a while just to be on the safe side.

It was a great afternoon and one of the rare times that we are all together, four generations worth, which makes it even more special. A big thanks to all the wonderful Brazilian cows and lambs for their contribution.

Yay! Glad you found something you wanted to eat, Joshua! I have to tell you... Boizao is Hayden's favorite restaurant! I seriously think they lose money when he walks in the door. No idea where he puts it all, but that boy can EAT when it comes to red meat. It's probably good for him (and his arteries!) that we only go there once a year or so!

Hey Snuggle Monkey,

I can't tell you how happy it makes me to hear about you eating, eating, eating and eating!!!!! If that's what it takes, it would be nice if you guys could eat there every day.
It looks like all of you had a great time.

Keep kickin butt Mighty Warrior. You are my Champion.
