Day 33 Update - 15DEC08

Josh spent the day at the hospital getting another round of treatments, another spinal tap, a bone marrow biopsy, and chemo. He did really well and was home in the late afternoon.

This was the end of his first phase of chemotherapy and the lab results from today will determine which treatment arm he follows next. For now, he basically has the week off. He won't start the next phase of treatment until sometime next week.

Joshua is off of the steroids as of today and hopefully the swelling in his face will subside over the next few weeks and maybe we can stop cooking every thirty minutes to keep him from being hungry ;)

Hey Snuggle Monkey,

Wonderful news that the first round of chemo is over!!!!!! I hope and pray all the tests results are good and that the next round of treatment is 'a walk in the park' for you and your Mom and Dad. I am so happy you have a week off and hope it is an excellent one for all of you.

Hey Snuggle Monkey,

I forgot to tell you how cute you and Jarrod are all snug as bugs in a rug underneath that quilt.

All right Josh! You were very brave to let them poke you and go through the treatment on Monday. I know you'll be glad to see your chipmunk cheeks go down. Sounds like you have been trying to eat everything in the house, which is good for growing boys. Bet Mom's cookies were great the other day and know Jarrod will be baking for you soon, too.

1 set of treatments done and then ready for the next ones. I know you can handle it because you have done so well. We are all so happy for you and your family and know it's gonna get better soon.

Love Miss Laura & Frank
