Special Sunday... Day 284 23AUG09

Joshua had a big surprise for everyone at church this morning. It was his first time as an Altar Server. This past Friday I took Jarrod and Joshua up to the church, so Jarrod could teach Joshua what to do. Jarrod is an awesome teacher, because Joshua did an awesome job. I had several compliments from my fellow parishoners on how wonderful my boys were today. As you can guess, I had a big smile on my face. Jarrod was very excited to teach his little brother and also to have him serve mass with him. Joshua was also equally excited to be serving for the frst time and also to be younger than the normal servers. Since Joshua made his First Communion early he is allowed to start serving.
As you can tell they look like little angels! The halos may be a little crooked, but if you look real hard you can see them!

Dad says: We had our usual Sushi Sunday and I wanted to share a picture of Renee's beautiful pate in use.

Jarrod you are a great teacher. Joshua did a wonderful job because you taught him all of the things he needed to know about serving. We are very proud of you for being such a great brother and teacher buddy. I love you. Oh and you look very proud of how well you taught Joshua. =)

Hey Snuggle Monkey,

I am so happy to hear you are serving at Mass. And Jarrod must be so proud of having taught you the ropes. What an awesome brother he is! Just wish I could have been there to see it for myself.

I hope you both have a long career as servers because it is such a wonderful gift.

You go Mighty Warrior - you are The Champion.

Tons of Love, Hugs and Kisses,

Nonna

What a beautiful picture - 2 brothers serving Mass together and Jarrod was able to teach Joshua. I know how proud and you must be, Renee. You probably cried happy tears! Father John must have been especially pleased to have those 2 Gandy boys assisting.

3 weeks until a little girl joins all those boys - what a joyous time for everyone.
