Great seats… Day 1068 20OCT11

We had a full plate today. The boys started off with school, Jarrod working by himself and me working with Joshua since Renee had a doctors appointment. Right after lunch my dad dropped off Missy to stay with us for the afternoon. She is a really easy dog to take care of and the boys had fun spoiling her a little bit. After the school work was finished we threw our skates on and headed out to get a little exercise in the street. My dad returned to spend some time with us and got a chance to see how much Joshua has improved on his street skating. My dad decided to treat us to a pizza at our favorite local pizza haunt before dropping us off at the hockey game on his way home.

We had gotten three tickets from the Pediatric Cancer Foundation and boy were they great seats. We were at the top of the face off circle and eleven rows off the glass. The Bolts played a great game and had a commanding victory over the Islanders. To top off our evening Steven Stamkos, who was named the number 2 player of the game, skated right over to the glass in front of Joshua and tossed him an autographed game puck. Joshua was grinning ear to ear form that point forward.

We met Renee after the game and we all headed home to get some sleep. It was a full day but it was a lot of fun and we a had a great time. Nice to have a few great days sprinkled in there now and again :)
