Skating away… Day 1056 08OCT11

We all got early to get a good breakfast before heading off to hockey practice. Pa showed up to watch us skate and took some great pictures of all of us on the ice.

We had a good practice and had a lot of fun. Afterwards we got changed ad headed for home.

The afternoon was really breezy and there are storms forecast to come through later tonight. Before dinner Joshua wanted to go out and skate so we put on our gear and headed out for a bit. The wind was blowing so hard that if we stopped moving the wind would push us down the street in the opposite direction. Joshua and Jarrod decided to try using some improvised sails to really get some speed up going down the street. They worked rather well and they each made several runs to the end of the street. It was really funny to watch them sailing down the road.

We came in as the rain started sputtering and had a nice dinner before settling in to watch the Lightning hockey game. Unfortunately they didn't beat the Bruins but they played hard. We have a busy day planned for tomorrow so it is off to bed after the game.

Hey Snuggle Monkey,

You guys are looking great! It's beginning to look like you might have been born on the ice. Congratulations on the goal.

Bummer for the Bolts.

Keep kickin butt Mighty Warrior. You are my Champion.

Tons of Love, Hugs and Kisses,

Nonna
