Hockey is back!… Day 1055 07OCT11

Joshua got up early to get his pre-med and put emla in his port in preparation for Caroline coming to give him his IVIG today. She arrived a little after 8 and Joshua got accessed and hooked up to his IV pump. He spent the next six hours carrying it around the house until the transfusion was complete. Caroline de-accessed his port and headed out leaving Joshua to rest for the rest of the afternoon. He did great and was only a little tired afterwards, we are lucky to have such a great nurse take care of him. He had enough energy to go out and skate with me for a bit and then go out after dinner to pass the puck around until the hockey game started.

Tonight was the Lightning's first regular season game so the family all gathered around the tele to watch them play Carolina. We won 5-1 which is a great start! It was fun to get started on the season with the kids, we all enjoy watching the games together. In the morning the boys and I get our time on the ice so we all got off to bed after the game was finished to get our rest.

Hey Snuggle Monkey,

Not real keen over the image in my mind of you going through the house for six hours trailing an IV pump. I'll be happy when I can forever erase that image.

Go Bolts!!!! Great way to start a regular season.

Hope hockey this morning is a blast for all of you.

Keep kickin butt Mighty Warrior. You are my Champion.

tons of Love, Hugs and Kisses,

Nonna
