Trifecta completed.... Day 148 09APR09

The trifecta is over. Joshua did really well today through all of the stuff he had to go through. He was at the clinic early this morning for labs to qualify for chemo and his counts are good. ANC over 1500. Then came the wait for the day hospital and anesthesia. He got to take a chemically induced nap for a little while while he got an LP and IT Methotrexate. Then it was back to the clinic for the rest of his chemo. He made it home in the middle of the afternoon so I got to spend a little time with him before going off to class. He was pretty tired and his back and legs were hurting again but his spirits were good. He is such a trooper and manages to keep a beautiful smile on his face throughout it all. He was running a little bit of a fever this evening, edging up towards the range where we get nervous. But, it seems to have moderated for now. We will keep our fingers crossed and check him through out the night.

Wow Whee! Sounds like a super day - I should have bought a lottery ticket! It's so fantastic when you see a smile on your face, Josh, after trying your best to continue to kick cancer butt! I love so see Jarrod's miling face also. Tell Mommy & Daddy to post a great pic on Easter Sunday.
Love to you all, Laura & Frank
