Uneventful... Day 201 01JUN09

Today was the kind of day we like best, uneventful. Joshua continues to be his normal self. It is a shame that just when we get him back to normal we will take him back for more chemo and knock him down the hill again. I wish often that we could just stop this crazy merry go round and get off. But alas that is not an option. For now we will enjoy having our old Josh back.

He went back to the orthotics place today to get fitted for some different liners for his braces. The faux sheepskin ones it came with were just too hot for him to stand. He would only wear the braces for a short while before they drove him absolutely nuts. The new liners are much cooler and should make it easier for him to wear the braces all night like he is supposed to. We will just have to try then out and see.

Tomorrow will be the start of a couple of really busy days for all of us. Thankfully Joshua is well rested, well fed, and in good spirits. He has managed to gain about seven pounds and even has a little belly hanging over his shorts. What a change from just a month or so ago. I am hoping that it will give him a little edge through the next round of chemo. Being off the steroids was the magic charm for him to start feeling better. It will be interesting to see how or if his eating habits change as there influence wanes.

Hey Snuggle Monkey,

Oh my goodness - a belly and you don't even drink beer! How wonderful. Think you might allow a photo op of this tummy show? I am so happy that everything is so uneventful, normal and ordinary. I'm with your Mom and Dad in hoping that you stay on top with the next round of chemo.

Hang tough mighty warrior. You are one amazing and awesome butt kicker.

Tons of Love, Hugs and Kisses,

Nonna

It was so good to hear your voices yesterday singing to me! I know the new liners will be much more comfortable for you - good grief, you only need sheepskin if you're going to be in the snow (fat chance as hot as it is right now).

Take care, love, Laura & Frank
